Natural plant fiber Tampico
It is made from the leaves of the agave plant, which grows wild in the semi-desert, highlands of Mexico. When examined under a microscope, Tampico fiber has a series of tiny hooks or barbs, which gives it a natural, slightly abrasive quality. This microstructure makes the fiber an ideal choice.
Tampico fiber characteristics
The fiber has a compact structure, is characterized by high elasticity and resistance to temperature changes up to 140ºC, as well as to acids and caustic soda. Tampico has the ability to retain water, thanks to these properties it works perfectly as bristles in cosmetic brushes intended for dry and wet massage, the name was taken from the port of Tampico in Mexico. The fibers are made of agave leaves in a natural creamy white color.
